Senior Character Artist

We are looking for a Senior Character Artist to work in a team of 30 people. We are located in the 20th district of Paris. In the context of a new IP creation, a 3D action game with a stylized art direction, the candidate will work on our characters production pipeline. Following 2D concept arts, he/she’ll create meshes, textures and materials, and will contribute to their integration in Unreal Engine 4.

About the role

You are capable of:

-       Collaboration with other departments (Concept, Rig, etc.)

-       Sculpting / Modeling

-       Retopology, UV layout, texturing, shaders

-       Managing a small character artist team

Candidate profile

Faculty to adapt and to take the lead:

-       At least 5 years of experience in a similar function

-       Extensive knowledge of the human anatomy

-       Great understanding of real-time production pipelines

-       Good artistic sensibility for stylized art direction

-       Good knowledge of real-time shaders

-       Ability to be independent at work, to iterate after feedback, and to work as a team

-       Ability to be proactive, to prioritize and communicate

Softwares:

-       Excellent knowledge of one 3D production software (3Ds Max is a plus)

-       Good knowledge of ZBrush

-       Good knowledge of Substance Painter or 3DCoat

Nice to have:

-       Previous experience on Unreal Engine 4

-       Knowledge of Substance Designer

-       Knowledge of Rigging
